frameless glass pool fence installation in sydney

We offer a wide range of glass systems for pool fencing including:

  • In-ground fixed systems
  • Side fix spigot systems
  • Concrete channel fixed systems
  • Concrete core fixed systems
  • Timber deck mounting systems

How do these glass pool fencing systems work?

  1. In Ground Fixed Systems

Step 1- Dig holes that are 400mm deep and 400mm wide.

Step 2- Construct a frame using a mesh and a steel reinforcement bar.

Step 3- Pour concrete into holes up to 30 to 40mm below the glass level.

Step 4- Use a diamond core to drill holes with a depth of 120mm.

Step 5- Fit spigots into the holes. Fix the spigots with cement-based non-shrink grout.

Step 6- Insert glass panels with spans of 2 meters wide at most.

Step 7- Fill the area with enough topsoil. Cover with grass.

  1. Side Fix Spigot Systems

Step 1- Reinforce the side of the deck with enough timber beams between the joists.

Step 2- Attach spigots onto the side of the deck with some bolts.

Step 3- Adjust the spigots with a string line.

Step 4- Insert the glass panels with spans of 1.6 meters wide at most.

Step 5- Attach rigi clamps to make the panels more rigid and stronger.

  1. Concrete Channel Fixed Systems

Step 1- Insert an aluminium u channel when doing a new concrete pour. If there’s existing concrete, grind a 120mm by 120mm chase out channel.

Step 2- Tile the surface up to the glass panel, leaving a gap of 40mm.

Step 3- Mount the glass in place using glazing packers and braces.

Step 4- Grout the glass. Use non-shrink cement-based grout for this purpose. Eliminate any bubbles.

Step 5- Allows for spans of 2 meters wide at most.

Step 6- Apply grout or silicon from the tiles up to the glass.

  1. Concrete Core Fixed Systems

Step 1- Cores holes with a depth of 120mm with the help of a diamond core drill.

Step 2- Attach spigots on the glass.

Step 3- Fit spigots into the holes.

Step 4- Apply cement-based non-shrink construction grout.

Step 5- Allow for spans of 2 meters wide at most.

  1. Timber Deck Mounting Systems

Step 1- Use timber to reinforce the deck between the joists.

Step 2- Fix spigots on the deck with the help of bolts.

Step 3- Adjust the spigots with the help of a string line.

Step 4- Insert the glass panel.

Step 5- Allow for spans of 1.6 meters at most.

Step 6- Enhance the strength of the glass by applying rigi clamps. Allow for spans of 2 meters wide at most.

Rigi Clamp

The main benefit of rigi clamps is that they make it possible to maintain a straight line of glass panels on timber decks.
