Sliding Glass Doors Made to Measure
for Sydney Homes

Majestic Glass measures, supplies and installs aluminium sliding glass doors across Sydney, whether for new openings or replacing old, sticking doors. Each aluminium sliding door is made to fit your opening, with the glass type, frame colour and panel layout selected during the quoting process.

Most of our sliding door installations are for homeowners looking to connect their living areas to a patio or balcony, renovators creating new openings, and property owners adding internal glass doors to divide spaces without sacrificing natural light. We manage the entire process, from initial measurements and manufacturing to the removal of existing doors, installation, and final cleanup.

Aluminium sliding glass doors are a practical choice for Sydney homes because they do not require additional swing space. The panels glide smoothly along their tracks, allowing furniture to be positioned close to the doorway while keeping the opening clear, even on windy days. They also provide convenient access to outdoor areas, making them a popular option for patios, decks and alfresco spaces.

Saves space

The panel slides along a track, so you can place furniture right up to the door.

More light

Large glass panels bring daylight deep into the room and frame the view outside.

Built for weather

Aluminium frames do not swell, warp or rot, which suits Sydney's humid summers.

Low maintenance

Powder coated frames need only a wipe down, and a clean track keeps the rollers smooth.

Our Services

We supply and install four types of sliding door work. Each starts with a free quote and an on site check measure.

Internal vs External Sliding Glass Doors

External sliding doors seal out the weather and need security hardware, while internal sliding glass doors divide rooms and can use lighter frames and tracks.

Many homes use both: an external door to the garden and internal sliding glass doors to close off a home office while keeping the open feel. If you want the whole opening clear, an aluminium bifold door may suit better.

Every sliding door we install is made to order, so you choose how it looks and performs.

Standard Sliding Door Sizes and Features

A standard aluminium sliding door is about 2,100 mm high, with common opening widths from 1,500 to 3,600 mm. The table below shows the sizes we supply most often. If your opening is different, we make the door to measure, up to a maximum panel size of 6,000 wide x2,700 high mm.

Prices include clear toughened glass, standard colour, flyscreen, removal of the old door and GST. The final sliding door cost depends on the size of the opening, the glass you choose, the number of panels and access to the site.

Every door includes: stainless steel rollers, weather seals, keyed lock and flyscreen. Many homes use both an external door to the garden and internal sliding glass doors to close off a home office while maintaining an open feel. If you want the whole opening to be clear, an aluminium bifold door may suit you better.

What They’re Saying

Frequently Asked Questions

How much are aluminium sliding doors?

An aluminium sliding door costs about $1,800 to $3,000 supplied and installed for a standard two panel door. The price depends on the size, the glass and the number of panels. Request a free quote for an exact figure.

Standard sliding glass door openings are 1,500 to 3,600 mm wide and about 2,100 mm high. If your opening is a different size, we make the door to measure.Skylight installation costs in Sydney vary depending on the skylight type and size, the glass specification, the complexity of the roof structure, and whether internal lining work is required. A straightforward fixed skylight installation in a standard pitched roof home typically starts from a few hundred dollars for the unit plus installation labour. Larger, double-glazed, or ventilated skylights, and installations in flat roofs or complex roof structures, will be priced accordingly based on scope. The most accurate way to get a price for your specific project is to request a free on-site quote from our team.

Internal sliding glass doors usually cost $1,200 to $2,500 supplied and installed. Lighter frames and tracks can make them cheaper than external doors of the same size.

You can, but powder coating gives a far more durable finish. On new doors we powder coat the frame in your chosen colour before installation. For existing frames, we recommend a professional respray or a new door.

A keyed lock, a security screen and laminated glass all make a sliding door harder to force. We can fit these options when we install your door.

Most sliding doors are installed in 4 to 6 hours on site, about 3 to 4 weeks after the check measure, once the door has been made to order.

Double glazed sliding doors cut noise and slow heat moving through the glass, which suits bedrooms, living areas and street-facing rooms. They cost more than single glazed doors, so we quote both when you ask.

Whether council approval is required for a skylight installation in Sydney depends on the size of the opening, your property’s zoning, and whether the skylight is visible from a public road in a heritage conservation area. Many standard residential skylight installations qualify as exempt development under the NSW State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes), meaning no DA is required. Our team is experienced with planning requirements across all Sydney local government areas and will advise you at your initial assessment on whether your installation can proceed as exempt development.

Yes. If the frame and rollers are sound, we can replace a broken or cracked pane without replacing the whole door. See our glass repair service.
